The NAMI IOWA Family-to-Family Education Program is a free 12-week course for family members and significant others of individuals with mental illnesses. Trained family members lead the course focusing primarily on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The course discusses the clinical treatment of these illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively. Persons may join the classes through week 3.

The Family-to-Family Education Program is paid for by the Iowa Department of

Human Services through its contract with Magellan Health Services for Iowa Plan
